Hadith1047

- ﵁: - ﷺ -

On the authority of Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with him): that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever prays the two cool prayers will enter Paradise." Agreed upon. "The two cool prayers" are the dawn (Ṣubḥ) and the afternoon (ʿAṣr).

Hadith1048

- ﵁ - - ﷺ -

On the authority of Abu Zuhayr ʿUmarah ibn Ruʾaybah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "No one who prays before the rising of the sun and before its setting will enter the Fire" — meaning the dawn (Fajr) and the afternoon (ʿAṣr) prayers. Narrated by Muslim.

Hadith1049

- ﵁ - - ﷺ:

On the authority of Jundub ibn Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever prays the dawn prayer is under the protection of Allah. So beware, O son of Adam, that Allah does not call you to account for anything from His protection." Narrated by Muslim.

Hadith1050

وعن أَبي هريرة - ﵁ - قَالَ: قَالَ رسول الله - ﷺ: «يَتَعَاقَبُونَ فِيكُمْ مَلاَئِكَةٌ بِاللَّيْلِ، وَمَلاَئِكَةٌ بِالنَّهَارِ، وَيجْتَمِعُونَ في صَلاَةِ الصُّبْحِ وَصَلاَةِ العَصْرِ، ثُمَّ يَعْرُجُ الَّذِينَ بَاتُوا فِيكُمْ، فَيَسْأَلُهُمُ اللهُ - وَهُوَ أعْلَمُ بِهِمْ - كَيْفَ تَرَكْتُمْ عِبَادي؟ فَيقُولُونَ: تَرَكْنَاهُمْ وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ، وَأتَيْنَاهُمْ وَهُمْ يُصَلُّونَ». متفقٌ عَلَيْهِ.

On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Angels take turns among you by night and angels by day, and they gather together at the dawn prayer and the afternoon prayer. Then those who spent the night among you ascend, and Allah asks them — though He knows them best — 'How did you leave My servants?' and they reply, 'We left them while they were praying, and we came to them while they were praying.'" Agreed upon.

Hadith1051

وعن جرير بن عبد الله البَجَليِّ - ﵁ - قَالَ: كُنَّا عِنْدَ النبيِّ - ﷺ - فَنَظَرَ إِلَى القَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ البَدْرِ، فَقَالَ: «إنَّكُمْ سَتَرَونَ رَبَّكُمْ كَمَا تَرَوْنَ هَذَا القَمَرَ، لاَ تُضَامُونَ في رُؤْيَتهِ، فَإنِ اسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَنْ لاَ تُغْلَبُوا عَلَى صَلاَةٍ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَقَبْلَ غُرُوبِهَا، فَافْعَلُوا». متفقٌ عَلَيْهِ. وفي رواية: «فَنَظَرَ إِلَى القَمَرِ لَيْلَةَ أرْبَعَ عَشْرَةَ».

On the authority of Jarir ibn ʿAbd Allah al-Bajali (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) when he looked at the moon on the night of the full moon and said: "You shall surely see your Lord just as you see this moon; you will have no trouble in seeing Him. So if you are able not to be kept from a prayer before the rising of the sun and before its setting, then do so." Agreed upon. In another narration: "He looked at the moon on the fourteenth night."

Hadith1052

وعن بُرَيْدَة - ﵁ - قَالَ: قَالَ رسول الله - ﷺ: «مَنْ تَرَكَ صَلاَةَ العَصْرِ فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُ». رواه البخاري.

On the authority of Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever abandons the afternoon prayer, his deeds have come to nothing." Narrated by al-Bukhari.
