٢٢٣ - باب أمر الصائم بحفظ لسانه وجوارحه عن المخالفات والمشاتمة ونحوها

On the authority of Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "When it is the fasting day of one of you, let him not utter obscene speech nor make a clamour. If someone insults him or picks a fight with him, let him say: 'I am indeed fasting.'" Agreed upon (al-Bukhārī and Muslim).

And on his authority, who said: The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever does not give up false speech and acting upon it, Allah has no need of his giving up his food and drink." Narrated by al-Bukhārī.
