Hadith803
- ﵁ - - ﷺ:
On the authority of ʿUmar ibn al-Khaṭṭāb (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do not wear silk, for whoever wears it in this world will not wear it in the Hereafter." Agreed upon (al-Bukhārī and Muslim).
Hadith804
- ﷺ -
And on his authority, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Only one who has no share [in the Hereafter] wears silk." Agreed upon (al-Bukhārī and Muslim). In a narration of al-Bukhārī: "one who has no share in the Hereafter." His statement, "one who has no share," means: he has no portion.

- ﵁ - - ﷺ:
And on the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever wears silk in this world will not wear it in the Hereafter." Agreed upon (al-Bukhārī and Muslim).
And on the authority of ʿAlī (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) take some silk and place it in his right hand, and some gold and place it in his left hand, then he said: "These two are forbidden to the males of my community." Narrated by Abū Dāwūd with a sound chain.
And on the authority of Abū Mūsā al-Ashʿarī (may Allah be pleased with him): that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The wearing of silk and gold has been forbidden to the males of my community, and made lawful for their females." Narrated by al-Tirmidhī, who said: "A good and sound hadith."
And on the authority of Ḥudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us to drink from vessels of gold and silver, or to eat from them, and forbade us the wearing of silk and brocade, and to sit upon it. Narrated by al-Bukhārī.
