On the authority of Zayd ibn Khālid (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) led us in the dawn prayer at al-Ḥudaybiyah following a rainfall that had occurred during the night. When he had finished, he turned to the people and said: "Do you know what your Lord has said?" They said: "Allah and His Messenger know best." He said: "He said: 'This morning some of My servants became believers in Me and some disbelievers. As for the one who said, "We have been given rain by the grace and mercy of Allah," he is a believer in Me, a disbeliever in the star; but as for the one who said, "We have been given rain by such-and-such a star," he is a disbeliever in Me, a believer in the star.'" Agreed upon. "Al-samāʾ" here means: the rain.
