Hadith1139
- ﵁ - - ﷺ -
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: My dear friend ﷺ enjoined three things upon me: fasting three days of every month, the two rak'ahs of the forenoon (Duha), and that I perform Witr before I sleep. Agreed upon. Performing Witr before sleeping is only recommended for one who is not confident of waking in the last part of the night; but if he is confident, then the last part of the night is better.
Hadith1140
- ﵁ - - ﷺ -
On the authority of Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "Each morning a charity is due upon every joint of one of you: every glorification (saying Subḥān Allāh) is a charity, every praise (saying al-ḥamdu lillāh) is a charity, every declaration of Allah's oneness (saying Lā ilāha illā Allāh) is a charity, every magnification (saying Allāhu akbar) is a charity, enjoining what is right is a charity, and forbidding wrong is a charity; and two rak'ahs that one prays in the forenoon (Duha) suffice for all of that." Narrated by Muslim.
Hadith1141
﵂، - ﷺ -
On the authority of 'Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to pray four rak'ahs of the forenoon (Duha), and would add as much as Allah willed. Narrated by Muslim.
On the authority of Umm Hani', Fakhita bint Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: I went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the year of the Conquest (of Mecca) and found him bathing. When he had finished his bath, he prayed eight rak'ahs, and that was in the forenoon (Duha). Agreed upon. This is an abridgement of the wording of one of Muslim's narrations.
