- ﵁: - ﷺ -
On the authority of Zayd ibn Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him): he saw some people performing the forenoon (Ḍuḥā) prayer, and he said: “As for them, they have surely come to know that prayer at a time other than this hour is more excellent. Indeed the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: ‘The prayer of those who turn often to Allah in repentance (al-awwābīn) is when the young camels feel the scorching heat of the sand.’” Narrated by Muslim. “Tarmaḍu” — with a fatḥa (the vowel ‘a’) on the tāʾ and the mīm, and with the dotted ḍād — means the intensity of the heat. And “al-fiṣāl” is the plural of faṣīl, which is the young one among the camels.
