Allah the Exalted said:
رياض الصالحينAbū Zakariyyā Muḥyī al-Dīn Yaḥyā ibn Sharaf al-Nawawī٢٦٩ - باب النهي عن التباغض والتقاطع والتدابر
٢٦٩ - باب النهي عن التباغض والتقاطع والتدابر
The believers are but brothers, so make settlement between your brothers. And fear Allāh that you may receive mercy.
And He the Exalted said:
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ مَن يَرْتَدَّ مِنكُمْ عَن دِينِهِۦ فَسَوْفَ يَأْتِى ٱللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ يُحِبُّهُمْ وَيُحِبُّونَهُۥٓ أَذِلَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ أَعِزَّةٍ عَلَى ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ يُجَـٰهِدُونَ فِى سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَا يَخَافُونَ لَوْمَةَ لَآئِمٍ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ يُؤْتِيهِ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ
O you who have believed, whoever of you should revert from his religion - Allāh will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who are] humble toward the believers, strong against the disbelievers; they strive in the cause of Allāh and do not fear the blame of a critic. That is the favor of Allāh; He bestows it upon whom He wills. And Allāh is all-Encompassing and Knowing.
وقال تَعَالَى:
And He the Exalted said:
مُّحَمَّدٌ رَّسُولُ ٱللَّهِ ۚ وَٱلَّذِينَ مَعَهُۥٓ أَشِدَّآءُ عَلَى ٱلْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَآءُ بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ تَرَىٰهُمْ رُكَّعًا سُجَّدًا يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلًا مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ وَرِضْوَٰنًا ۖ سِيمَاهُمْ فِى وُجُوهِهِم مِّنْ أَثَرِ ٱلسُّجُودِ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ مَثَلُهُمْ فِى ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ ۚ وَمَثَلُهُمْ فِى ٱلْإِنجِيلِ كَزَرْعٍ أَخْرَجَ شَطْـَٔهُۥ فَـَٔازَرَهُۥ فَٱسْتَغْلَظَ فَٱسْتَوَىٰ عَلَىٰ سُوقِهِۦ يُعْجِبُ ٱلزُّرَّاعَ لِيَغِيظَ بِهِمُ ٱلْكُفَّارَ ۗ وَعَدَ ٱللَّهُ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ مِنْهُم مَّغْفِرَةً وَأَجْرًا عَظِيمًۢا
Muḥammad is the Messenger of Allāh; and those with him are forceful against the disbelievers, merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and prostrating [in prayer], seeking bounty from Allāh and [His] pleasure. Their sign is in their faces from the effect of prostration [i.e., prayer]. That is their description in the Torah. And their description in the Gospel is as a plant which produces its offshoots and strengthens them so they grow firm and stand upon their stalks, delighting the sowers - so that He [i.e., Allāh] may enrage by them1 the disbelievers. Allāh has promised those who believe and do righteous deeds among them forgiveness and a great reward.
وعن أنس - ﵁: أنَّ النَّبيّ - ﷺ - قَالَ: «لاَ تَبَاغَضُوا، وَلاَ تَحَاسَدُوا، وَلاَ تَدَابَرُوا، وَلاَ تَقَاطَعُوا، وَكُونُوا عِبَادَ اللهِ إخْوَانًا، وَلاَ يَحِلُّ لِمُسْلِمٍ أَنْ يَهْجُرَ أخَاهُ فَوْقَ ثَلاَثٍ». متفق عَلَيْهِ.
It is related from Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Do not hate one another, do not envy one another, do not turn your backs on one another, and do not sever ties; rather be brethren, O servants of Allah. It is not lawful for a Muslim to shun his brother for more than three days." Agreed upon.
وعن أَبي هريرة - ﵁: أنَّ رسولَ اللهِ - ﷺ - قَالَ: «تُفْتَحُ أبْوابُ الجَنَّةِ يَوْمَ الإثْنَيْنِ ويَوْمَ الخَمْيِسِ، فَيُغْفَرُ لِكُلِّ عَبْدٍ لا يُشْرِكُ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا، إِلاَّ رَجُلًا كَانَتْ بينهُ وَبَيْنَ أخِيهِ شَحْنَاءُ فَيُقَالُ: أنْظِرُوا هَذَيْنِ حَتَّى يَصْطَلِحَا! أَنْظِرُوا هَذَينِ حَتَّى يَصْطَلِحَا!». رواه مسلم. وفي روايةٍ لَهُ: «تُعْرَضُ الأعْمالُ في كُلِّ يَوْمِ خَمِيسٍ وإثْنَيْن» وذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ.
It is related from Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "The gates of Paradise are opened on Monday and Thursday, and every servant who associates nothing with Allah is forgiven, except a man between whom and his brother there is rancour. It is said: Hold these two off until they reconcile! Hold these two off until they reconcile!" Reported by Muslim. In another narration of his: "Deeds are presented every Thursday and Monday," and he mentioned the like of it.
