Concerning this [subject] there is the previously mentioned hadith of Ibn ʿUmar, in the chapter on the traveller's takbīr when he ascends the mountain passes.

On the authority of Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: We were drawing near, together with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and when we reached the outskirts of Medina he said: "[We are] returning, repentant, worshipping, and to our Lord giving praise." He kept saying that until we arrived at Medina. Narrated by Muslim.
