﵂، - ﷺ -
Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came in upon Abu Salama after his sight had become fixed in a stare, so he closed his eyes. Then he said, "When the soul is taken, the sight follows it." Some of his family cried out, so he said, "Do not invoke anything but good upon yourselves, for the angels say 'Amīn' to whatever you say." Then he said, "O Allah, forgive Abu Salama, raise his rank among those who are rightly guided, be a guardian over the descendants he has left behind, and forgive us and him, O Lord of the worlds. Make his grave spacious for him, and give him light within it." Narrated by Muslim.
