- ﵁ - - ﷺ:

From Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The food of two is enough for three, and the food of three is enough for four." Agreed upon.

And from Jābir (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The food of one is enough for two, the food of two is enough for four, and the food of four is enough for eight." Narrated by Muslim.
