From Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever has a sacrificial animal that he intends to slaughter — once the new moon of Dhu al-Hijjah appears, let him not take anything at all from his hair or his nails until he has offered the sacrifice." Narrated by Muslim.
