٣٢٢ - باب كراهة سب الحمى

From Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him): the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came in to visit Umm al-Saʾib — or Umm al-Musayyab — and said: "What is the matter with you, O Umm al-Saʾib — or O Umm al-Musayyab — that you are shivering?" She said: "It is the fever; may Allah not bless it!" He said: "Do not revile the fever, for it removes the sins of the children of Adam just as the bellows removes the dross from iron." Narrated by Muslim. The word "tuzafzifīn" means that you move with a rapid movement; its sense is: you tremble. It is pronounced with a ḍammah on the tāʾ, with a repeated zāy and a repeated fāʾ; and it has also been narrated with a repeated rāʾ and two qāfs.
