Allah, the Exalted, said:
٢٨٤ - باب تحريم مطل الغني بحق طلبه صاحبه
Allah, the Exalted, said:
Indeed, Allāh commands you to render trusts to whom they are due and when you judge between people to judge with justice. Excellent is that which Allāh instructs you. Indeed, Allāh is ever Hearing and Seeing.
And the Exalted said:
And if you are on a journey and cannot find a scribe, then a security deposit [should be] taken. And if one of you entrusts another, then let him who is entrusted discharge his trust [faithfully] and let him fear Allāh, his Lord. And do not conceal testimony, for whoever conceals it - his heart is indeed sinful, and Allāh is Knowing of what you do.
And on the authority of Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "The delaying of payment by one who is able to pay is injustice; and if one of you is referred for payment to a solvent person, let him follow up that referral." Agreed upon. The meaning of «utbiʿa» is: he was referred, i.e. had the debt transferred to another.
