Allah, the Exalted, has said:
٢٩ - باب قضاء حوائج المسلمين
Allah, the Exalted, has said:
O you who have believed, bow and prostrate and worship your Lord and do good - that you may succeed.
On the authority of Ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with them both): The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A Muslim is the brother of another Muslim: he does not wrong him, nor does he abandon him. Whoever attends to the need of his brother, Allah attends to his need; whoever relieves a Muslim of a distress, Allah will relieve him thereby of one of the distresses of the Day of Resurrection; and whoever shields a Muslim [from disgrace], Allah will shield him on the Day of Resurrection." Agreed upon.
On the authority of Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet ﷺ, who said, "Whoever relieves a believer of one of the distresses of this world, Allah will relieve him of one of the distresses of the Day of Resurrection. Whoever eases [the burden of] one in hardship, Allah will make things easy for him in this world and the Hereafter. Whoever shields a Muslim [from disgrace], Allah will shield him in this world and the Hereafter. Allah is at the servant's aid so long as the servant is at his brother's aid. Whoever treads a path seeking knowledge upon it, Allah will make easy for him thereby a path to Paradise. No people gather in one of the houses of Allah, the Exalted, reciting the Book of Allah and studying it together among themselves, but that tranquillity descends upon them, mercy envelops them, the angels surround them, and Allah mentions them to those who are with Him. And whoever is held back by his deeds, his lineage will not hasten him forward." Narrated by Muslim.
