٢٩٧ - باب النهي عن نتف الشيب من اللحية والرأس وغيرهما، وعن نتف الأمرد شعر لحيته عند أول طلوعه

ʿAmr ibn Shuʿayb reported, from his father, from his grandfather (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), who said: "Do not pluck out grey hair, for it is the light of the Muslim on the Day of Resurrection." A good (ḥasan) ḥadīth, narrated by Abū Dāwūd, al-Tirmidhī, and al-Nasāʾī with good chains of transmission. Al-Tirmidhī said: "It is a good (ḥasan) ḥadīth."

ʿĀʾishah (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever performs a deed that is not in accordance with our matter, it is rejected." Narrated by Muslim.
