﵄: - ﷺ -

Abū Hurayrah and ʿĀʼishah (may Allah be pleased with them) reported that the Prophet ﷺ forbade continuous fasting (al-wiṣāl). Agreed upon.

﵄، - ﷺ -

Ibn ʿUmar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade continuous fasting. They said: “But you fast continuously?” He said: “I am not like you; I am given food and drink.” Agreed upon, and this is the wording of al-Bukhārī.
