On the authority of Muʿādh ibn Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever forgoes fine clothing out of humility before Allah, while being able to afford it, Allah will summon him on the Day of Resurrection before the heads of all creation, that he may choose whichever of the robes of faith he wishes to wear." Narrated by al-Tirmidhī, who said: "A good (ḥasan) hadith."
