On the authority of Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), from the Prophet ﷺ, who said: "The soul of the believer remains suspended by reason of his debt until it is settled on his behalf." Narrated by al-Tirmidhī, who said: "A good (ḥasan) hadith."
On the authority of Ḥuṣayn ibn Waḥwaḥ (may Allah be pleased with him): that Ṭalḥah ibn al-Barāʾ ibn ʻĀzib (may Allah be pleased with them both) fell ill, so the Prophet ﷺ came to visit him, and said: "I do not regard Ṭalḥah except as one upon whom death has already come. So notify me of it and hasten with it, for it is not fitting that the corpse of a Muslim be detained in the midst of his family." Narrated by Abū Dāwūd.
