Allah the Exalted has said:
٤٨ - باب التحذير من إيذاء الصالحين والضعفة والمساكين
Allah the Exalted has said:
And those who harm believing men and believing women for [something] other than what they have earned [i.e., deserved] have certainly borne upon themselves a slander and manifest sin.
And the Exalted has also said:
So as for the orphan, do not oppress [him].
As for the hadiths, they are many; among them:
The hadith of Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) in the chapter before this: "Whoever shows enmity to a friend (walī) of Mine, I have declared war upon him."
And among them is the hadith of Saʿd ibn Abī Waqqāṣ (may Allah be pleased with him), mentioned earlier in the chapter on gentle kindness to the orphan, and his ﷺ saying: "O Abū Bakr, if you have angered them, then you have indeed angered your Lord."
Jundub ibn ʿAbd Allāh (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever prays the dawn prayer is under the protection (dhimmah) of Allah. So let Allah not call you to account for anything of His protection, for whoever Allah pursues for anything of His protection, He will overtake him, then cast him upon his face into the Fire of Hell." Narrated by Muslim.
