Allah the Exalted said:
٢٣٦ - باب فضل العتق
Allah the Exalted said:
But he has not broken through the difficult pass.1
On the authority of Abū Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: «Whoever frees a Muslim slave, Allah will free, for every limb of that slave, a limb of his own from the Fire — even his private part for his private part.» Agreed upon.
On the authority of Abū Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I said: «O Messenger of Allah, which deed is best?» He said: «Faith in Allah, and striving (jihād) in the path of Allah.» He said: I said: «Which slaves are best [to free]?» He said: «Those most prized by their owners and the most expensive in price.» Agreed upon.
