رياض الصالحينAbū Zakariyyā Muḥyī al-Dīn Yaḥyā ibn Sharaf al-Nawawī١٦٦ - باب استحباب الخروج يوم الخميس، واستحبابه أول النهار
On the authority of Kaʿb ibn Mālik (may Allah be pleased with him): the Prophet ﷺ set out on the expedition of Tabūk on a Thursday, and he used to love to set out on a Thursday. Agreed upon (al-Bukhārī and Muslim). In another narration in the two Ṣaḥīhs: Rarely did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out except on a Thursday.
On the authority of Ṣakhr ibn Wadāʿah al-Ghāmidī, the Companion (may Allah be pleased with him): the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “O Allah, bless my nation in its early mornings.” When he sent out a detachment or an army, he would dispatch them at the beginning of the day. Ṣakhr was a merchant, and he used to send out his merchandise at the beginning of the day, so he grew wealthy and his wealth increased. Narrated by Abū Dāwūd and al-Tirmidhī, who said: “A good (ḥasan) hadith.”
