This is a concise work on the science of fiqh, which I compiled for some of my brethren in religion to the extent their time allowed, and I confined it to ten books: they are the most important books of fiqh and the most deserving of precedence, namely: the Book of Purification, Prayer, Zakah, Fasting, Hajj, Jihad, Hunting and Sacrifices, the Prohibited, Inheritance, and Earning together with etiquette—may God Almighty benefit him thereby and make it a means of his ascent to the highest ranks of felicity in the Hereafter.
